The Red Line (Route 66) is a rapid transit lineto of the RTA Rapid Transit in Cleveland, Ohio, running from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport northeast to Tower City in downtown Cleveland, then east and northeast to Windermere. 2.6 miles (4.2 km) of track, including two stations (East 34th-Campus and East 55th), are shared with the light rail Blue and Green Lines; the stations have high platforms for the Red Line and low platforms for the Blue and Green Lines. The whole Red Line is built next to current or former freight or intercity passenger railroads. It uses overhead lines and pantographs to draw power.
SkyLift is a type of aerial lift, often called a cable car. It consists of a loop of steel cable that is strung between two stations, sometimes over intermediate supporting towers. We flew around Cleveland in a helicopter to capture video, so we could simulate the experience of flying around Cleveland's waterfront in a cable car.
This video was shot on DJI Phantom 3 Pro and edited using Adobe Premier and After Effects. Check us out as we fly over the Cuyahoga River. The Flats have gone through a bit a of makeover since 2012. What was once known as a very dangerous part of town, has since be rejuvenated into a place for people live, work and play. New plans have been announced for even more construction projects to happen within the next 5 years. A Shaker Heights/GCRTA light rail "rapid" train has just come downhill from the Tower City Station into The Flats, where it will parallel the Cuyahoga River for a while. In this video it crosses Old River Road (aka Robert Lockwood Jr. Way). The heavy rail Red Line Rapid Transit viaduct is visible in the background. 2010
*Bad Government took Cleveland FLATS away*. The waterfront is a perfect example of *Local CITY government gone totally bad* (actually Criminal in my opinion) by violating *Hobbs Anti-Corruption Act -Google it- by interfering with Commerce Clause*, now only if we can get an HONEST JUDGE to start going after those creeps that destroying AMERICA and ruining ENTREPRENEURSHIP. This video was on my hard drive. http://www.peacemessenger.net we can't make PEACE with BAD CITY Governments in place. We must cleanse the corruption! Entrepreneur = American Entrepreneur = 12 Letters American = 8 Letters 9 of Entrepreneur's letters come from the word AMERICAN! Coincidence? Not if you consider the missing 3 letters are PUT! We are tasked in putting the ENTREPRENEUR back in AmericanS!

This photo was taken by Steven Kalka 10/16/16 on an Electric Railroaders Association trip riding the Cleveland RFTA Waterfront Line. This train was eastbound approaching the South Harbor terminus. The Waterfront Line is an extension of the Blue Line.
Its one of those kinds of days, parked my car at east 9th street and walked for about 20 minutes to where the video was filmed. After getting the first shot, it starts raining by the bucket load. Even the birds were running for shelter before I knew what hit me! An all day trip was cut short sense my sister needed some help moving stuff, but that just gives me a good reason to come back to film another day. Rate, Comment, SUBSCRIBE, & Enjoy!!!
